ABOUT US

Our commitment is your success. Because we believe that by succeeding together, we can build trusted long-term business relationships. And those are the kind we thrive on.

Since NAVUM GmbH first started up, back in 2008, we’ve seen solid, steady growth. We’ve expanded quickly, from a small-scale IT services business into a highly capable systems house, with a portfolio of services that’s right up there with large organizations.

However, we’re still very much in touch with our roots – hence our passion for providing a personalized service and giving clients the best possible strategic advice: We’re only happy when you are.

With 15 years plus of experience to draw on, we’re more than equipped to service clients of any size, from SMEs all the way up to major companies and public-sector organizations.

We currently have around 50 IT professionals working on a range of projects. Each and every one of them has specialist knowledge that contributes to and expands NAVUM’s collective corporate expertise.

This helps keep us successful going forward, together with our clients and partners.

/ 6 sound reasons to choose NAVUM

/ Management team

Our success is down to our exceptional people – the dedicated individuals at the forefront of delivering client projects, or hard at work behind the scenes, making sure everything else runs smoothly – and, of course, our management team: founder and Managing Director Eugen Mang, Managing Director Andreas Kopfmiller, and senior corporate officer and key account manager Martin Leppelt.

/ Our story

It all began with one man’s vision: Eugen Mang wanted to build a business that offered clients exceptional service and, at the same time, create a workplace with a people-first culture. The company remains true to these principles to this day. This is our story:

Although there are many social and economic challenges, we are not discouraged by them, but continue to approach the tasks with confidence!

Three new employees started at the beginning of the year and the magic mark of 50 employees is getting ever closer.

The existing business relationships with our customers and partners are very stable. Even if the willingness to invest is generally levelling off somewhat, we see a need and a desire for renewal and optimisation in our segment.

Last year, we largely finalised the preparations for the certification of our ISMS in accordance with ISO 27001 and are now planning the dates for the audit.

NAVUM turns 15! We are particularly proud of the close team spirit and the fact that our original values are actively lived and developed.

We are able to strengthen our team once again, which now consists of a total of 40 specialists and 5 trainees.

Turnover reaches a new record. We see a special honour for our company in the fact that our employees recommend NAVUM as an employer in their personal and even family environment. This enables us to continue to grow, even in a challenging skilled labour and training market.

Thanks to our success in 2022, we can expand the NAVUM team by 4 motivated employees and 2 new trainees.

Customers satisfaction continues to be our top priority and is our drive for the future! The demand for highly professional IT solutions and holistic operation and service concepts is unabated. In addition, we are constantly expanding our range of services for automating IT tasks and monitoring our customers’ IT infrastructures.

This year, we are also investing a lot of time and effort in the continuous optimisation of our own tools and processes as well as in the areas of data protection and IT security.

IT security has always been a top priority for NAVUM. In 2021 we have created a separate position for this task and filled it with a new employee.

The pandemic situation continues to keep us on our toes. In addition to the few face-to-face meetings, we try to promote personal exchange with virtual events at the end of the working day.

We go live with our new website and new customer portal in spring.

Corona is leaving a deep mark on business worldwide. Starting March, almost all NAVUM employees will be working from their home offices. We are happy to be able to provide our services in full.

Despite the pandemic, we look back on a satisfactory business year and are able to prove ourselves as a stable employer even in times of crisis.

At the end of the year, we win two major projects in the research & teaching industry.

We get an urgent call for help: a request for expert support with the operation of a large-scale SAN and storage environment. In the space of just a few months, we have a team of six assigned to the project, which is for an organization we still work for today.

The time comes for our first move to larger premises: the basement offices are too small for a staff of 18. NAVUM’s new home is a former brewery in Stegen, on the shores of Lake Ammersee.

Eugen Mang founds the systems house NAVUM GmbH on April 11, 2008. Like any self-respecting infotech startup, it begins life small, in the basement of a residential building.

By the summer, NAVUM’s headcount has grown to nine, as initial project wins from the aerospace and banking sectors help the business to burgeon.

The company successfully completes its founding year with around EUR 1.26 million in revenue.
